My Stamping Journey

Healing Through Art

When life sends you lemons, don't make lemonade. Stamp them and make art!

I have always loved art and crafting.  Both have been a part of me for as long as I can remember.  As a mother with a fulltime career, I struggled with Multiple Sclerosis, depression and anxiety while also pursuing my MBA.  “Me” time was scarce but I continued my art through children’s projects and youth church ministry.

As my children became older, I focused more time on trying to overcome the crippling effects of mental illness, which was exacerbated after my husband passed away.  However, through art, creating, and much prayer, I have found that overcoming obstacles and set backs can be achieved.

Trying to find my new normal was very challenging; however, I rediscovered my love for creating and crafting, which has been a huge part of my healing.  I began with creating paper crafts with my  Cricket Maker; however, I discovered the world of stamping last year!   Through stamping and creating, I have unlimited ability able to express creativity in so many forms!  I feel like I have reinvented myself and have found my true passion!

Through crafting, I have been able to give handmade expressions  of love to family and friends.  I have also incorporated it into ministry to send expressions of encouragement to seniors and the infirmed.  It’s the giving that makes this art so rewarding.  Now, I get to share this love of stamping and story of overcoming with people as a artistic coach through demonstrations and workshops.  I welcome you to join me as a maker or team member.  Let’s create together.
